1. What age range do you work with?
New Treks focuses on the Middle School to High School age range. Due to the nature of some of these activities we want to make sure all participants are able to comprehend the safety needed and risk involved. We do extend our age range when working with schools for programming.
3. What is included in the price?
New Treks supplies all equipment needed for the activities. You will need to supply your own personal gear. (clothing, eating utensils, personal hygiene). Day trip participants will need to bring their own food. Airfare, gear, and food for expeditions is included in the price.
5. Where do we drop off and pickup?
Drop off and pick up will be at the same location. The location will be easily accessible and centrally located in the Denver area.
7. How do I register?
Fist, review all courses and choose which you'd like your youth to attend. Then, click the "register" link for the course you've chosen. This will take you to the registration form. Carefully complete the registration form and ensure that all information is correct. Once complete, you will receive an email with the waivers and deposit requirement. You may also pay in full at this time if you prefer. After all waivers and the deposit have been submitted will receive email confirmation with additional information on the program and on paying the remainder of your balance.
2. What is the group size?
New Treks keeps to a 6:1 ratio. 6 youth for every 1 instructor for teaching and supervising.
4. How qualified are the instructors?
Each instructor is at a minimum a Wilderness First Responder. Each instructor also has certifications in the field they teach, or equivalent skills and experience. All instructors have previous experience working with youth in the outdoors and are able to guide group adventures.
6. Is there a discounted or reduced rate?
YES! We have reduced rates for those families who are approved for Free or Reduced Lunch. Reduced rates are available for all programs. Please contact us with any questions.
8. What if I miss the final payment deadline?
The date for final payment is firm. To make sure the families on the waiting list have ample time to prepare for the course we will reach out to them the day after a final payment is not received. You can email to ask for an extension but this is on a case by case basis.
9. What is the refund policy?
You are eligible for a partial refund up to two weeks before your trip date. After the two week deadline no refund will be awarded.
10. Is there a special Covid-19 refund?
YES! If for any reason summer trips have to be cancelled due to CDC and State Regulations you will receive a full refund. If your youth has contracted COVID-19 and cannot attend their course please email with evidence and you will receive a full refund.
