Jeffrey Mitchell

Development officer

Jeff is a lifelong outdoorsman starting at Outward Bound in North
Carolina at age 17. With a BA in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in
Social Work from Boston College he spent 35 years as CEO for 4 Non
Profit Organizations in Massachusetts and Maine providing behavioral
health services and affordable housing development for those most in
need. During his career he developed strong fund-raising and grant
writing programs for the non-profits he developed and nurtured.
During this time, he also developed a deep love and admiration for the
natural world visiting many national parks and climbing more than 200
hundred Mountains in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. He now
enjoys the Rocky Mountains after relocating in 2018 to reunite with his
large extended family in the Denver area.
